Pray for the College of Cardinals.

Archbishop Hartmayer Calls Us to Prayer

This Wednesday, May 7, the Conclave of the College of Bishops will gather in the Sistine Chapel to begin the election of a new pope. I ask the faithful in the Archdiocese of Atlanta to gather in their parish community and families to offer prayers for the beginning and throughout the Conclave. In some fashion, I ask that we pray for the electors to discover, with open hearts, the will of the Holy Spirit and present to the world the successor of St. Peter who will continue the Church’s mission, which is to spread the gospel message, administer sacraments and reach out with charity and justice to the people in need.
